Suttsu to Tomari 72km

Another beautiful ride along a wild, rugged coastline. The road cuts along the base of huge cliffs, and at times straight through huge mountainous outcrops. We went through about 10 tunnels, some as long as 3.8km. We spent some time looking around an amazing shellfish museum that has a display thousands of different shells and details of what creates and lives in them. We also visited the Iwanai local museum which had some interesting old videos and photos of the establishment of the local herring and asparagus industry.
