Barcelona Poble Espanyol

Poble Espanyol means 'Spanish village' and is located on the mountain Montjuïc. You will not find a village like this anywhere else in Spain, because architectural styles from all over Spain are combined in this open-air museum Poble Espanyol. El Poble Espanyol was built on Montjuïc for the 1929 Barcelona World Exhibition and the intention was to demolish this Spanish village after this exhibition. It never came to that, because the village was very popular among locals and tourists. The village gives a nice picture of the forms of architecture in Spain.
