Sabiha Gökçen Airport AYT-SAW flight PC2001 on 20231030 07:55-09:20 (879.45 TL) 15kg luggage. Price: 40,44€. Booked on 20230604 via Flypgs.com. The airport was decorated inside with white and red balloons and gates because of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey and yesterday's Republic Day.

On the way from AYT to IST (SAW) on the plane, I received a quarter of a crispy baguette with köfte (ordered and) in advance. Tasted delicious (also nice sauce). I went to the other airport with Havaist transfer. Costs 172 TL. The ride took about 55 minutes (80km?). Then passport control and baggage control. Very large complex with a luxurious appearance. At Çay Saati I had a lemon cake (160 TL), tea (45 TL) and a bottle of water (65 TL), a total of 270 TL. I was quite early, so there was a long wait. The gate appeared on the screen at 1:55 PM. When boarding I was told that I had received an 'upgrade'. I wouldn't be sitting at 17F, but at 4F. What legroom and soft leather seats! I was treated like a VIP. They arrived with a tray containing different colored (green, yellow, orange, red) drinks. I had an orange juice with a slice and stir stick in it and a glass of water. Then a warm small towel was handed out. Staff was very helpful. At the end I was also able to get a glass of coca cola. My chair looked like a lounger! I was completely at ease. My most comfortable flight yet.Read more

We parked the car in the Crown parking garage and then walked to the hotel to leave our backpacks in the room. In the meantime it started to rain more and more. Anneke and I were assigned room 105 after registration. Afterwards we went for something to eat and drink at Dene & Gör (21€). Many Turkish businesses in this area. After we went back to the car with Paul, we said goodbye to him there and Anneke and I went back to looking for our hotel. In the meantime the rain was pouring down and we couldn't find the hotel. A nice man told us that it was best to get on tram line 709 or 708, not to take 706, he told us, and after 1 stop we had to get off again. We had to wait about 10 minutes for the tram. Tram line 709 stopped directly in front of the door. The Intercity Hotel is located opposite the hotel. Anneke had brought some tasty snacks (chips and chocolate milk) for me and we were able to dry up in our room. Got a cup of coffee and laid down on the bed and finally fell asleep.

After breakfast we checked out. It was only a two minute walk to the Central Train Station of Dusseldorf from our hotel. We asked for information and waited for our train to arrive to go to Moviepark Germany.Read more

On 20231031 a day trip to this theme park. Costs including discount of 20€: 37,40€ (0,50€ booking fee, normally 1 person 56,90€). Ordered on 20230608. Same day also ordered a ticket with a discount for Anneke. 37,40€.

Movie Park Germany is a theme park in Bottrop-Kirchhellen in western Germany, 50 kilometers north of Düsseldorf, covering an area of 40 hectares (100 acres). It consists of 7 areas based on movies and TV series. There are several film studios near the park.

From Hauptbahnhof Düsseldorf to Hauptbahnhof Essen and then by bus line SB16 to Moviepark in Bottrop. The bus stops directly in front of the park.

We got off the train and walked to the site. The entire park was themed around Halloween.
