I arrived very early at Antalya airport and had to wait a long time before boarding. Very strictly control before getting on the plane.

Note: It was the very first time for EasyJet to fly from Antalya to Liverpool.

When I arrived I made sure I got some English money in my pockets in order to pay for the bus or taxi back to my hotel after visiting Liverpool.

When I got outside the airport building I made a call for the company to tell them I arrived and that I was waiting for them at the 'yellow submarine' statue.

After a little while I saw the taxi waiting nearby. There was a little confusion, because I booked a transfer at ComCab but the taxidriver was from Uber but she knew my name so I stepped into the taxi.

I expected rain on arrival but it appeared to be dry weather. The taxi driver told me it had been raining off and on today in Liverpool. I was relieved it was dry at the moment.

I passed by it while sitting in the bus. I didn't have enough time to take a picture from it. What stroke me the most was how close it was built to the building next to it. I thought that building was a church of something like that. Very different styles.

Liverpool Chinatown is one of the largest of its kind in Europe. Thanks to the ship trade, it is recorded by many as the first such Chinatown in England. Here, you will find a great selection of Chinese restaurants serving a wide range of dining experiences, from modern interpretations of Asian cuisine to old-fashioned eateries that have changed little in generations.

PS: The building next to Chinatown entrance is called The Black-E and is an Arts Center, former Chapel.

At the hotel I quickly left my luggage at my room and asked at the reception where I could take a bus to the center of Liverpool and if I could pay for the bus in cash. The bus stop was very close to the hotel and on arrival I just had to wait a few minutes for the bus to arrive. I had to pay 2£ for a single ride. It took me about half an hour to arrive at the Albert Dock. I hoped that it would not be dark when I got to my destination and that I could still make some pictures at daylight.Read more

I was able to make a picture of the Beatles statue. I wasn't sure I could do that because I arrived pretty late in Liverpool.

An iconic statue of the Fab Four, in their hometown. The Beatles Statue arrived on Liverpool's Waterfront in December 2015. Donated by the famous Cavern Club, the placement of the statue coincides with the 50 year anniversary of the band's last gig played in Liverpool, at the Liverpool Empire Theatre. It's the city's most popular selfie spot!

Liverpool's Royal Liver Building is one of the city’s most architecturally stunning feats, largely defined by its 2 clock towers with clock faces even bigger than Big Ben's. Atop each of the clock towers rests a 6-metre-tall copper liver bird, which is an emblem for the city. Throughout Liverpool, you can notice much smaller versions of the birds scattered on various rooftops.

On my way back to the hotel I had the same bus driver as before. At the corner near the hotel I got out of the bus to do some shopping at the Aldi supermarket. Then I walked back to the hotel and could relax. Room 314. Earlier this evening I had a problem with the room access card. You also use the room access card to activate the elevator. After several tries I had to go back to the reception desk. They changed something in the computer and then it worked. It took me because of this ten minutes to get to my room. When I came back around 9 p.m. there was no problem.

Price one night stay, double room, 39,99£. Booked on 20230129. Reservation number 1560172914.

From Liverpool to Madrid

Not much sleep because I had to get up in the middle of the night to go to the airport. At first there was no taxi. After the help of a kind lady at the reception the taxi arrived. The ride to the airport was 6.20£ + 5£ 'airport charge'. Check-in went smoothly. Boarding at gate 16. After everyone was on the plane, they closed the door and we received a notice that we would not be able to leave until 07:00. This was due to a strike, understaffing of personnel and so-called 'slots'. So there was nothing else to do but to wait patiently in our seats. Finally we took off at 07:15.

Flight FR 2440 from Ryanair. Reservation number QGT7UG. Price 10,99$ (13,25€). Booked on 20230125.
