Made it to Auckland after an hours delay at Sydney airport! Up at 330am,10000 steps, explores Auckland city this afternoon. Little rest now then our for dinner.

Hire car collected and we have hit the highway to Rotorua. Quick stop for breakfast and coffee ☕️.

Stopped halfway for a look around a cute quirky town. Coffee stop at the Buggar Cafe very cute and lots of funny memes

Made it to Rotorua this afternoon and off to Mitai for traditional Maori show and Hungi

Te Puia And the Polynesian Spa

Great day exploring the Maori culture further at Te Puia for most of today!
Experiencing the Geysers going off and the mud pools along with the Maori culture. (Plus the smell of sulphur)
Back to the hotel and straight over to the Polynesian Spa for a soak in the hot pools taking away our aches and pains....
Then for a 45 minute massage absolutely blissful.
Yummy buffet dinner at the hotel now for bed as we are so relaxed from our spa experience this afternoon.
Off to Napier in the morning to continue our North Island holiday......Read more

Just arrived in Napier after a picturesque drive from Rotorua through the windy country side!
We are about to head out and explore for the afternoon...

Spent the afternoon exploring and shopping 🛍!
Beautiful Art Deco buildings and lots of cute shops...... Loved Opossum resisted massively not to buy anything!!!!!

Big driving day today from Napier to Wellington. They tell us about 4 to 5 hours of driving..... My turn to be a passenger today!
Quick lunch stop back on the road to Wellington..... bit cooler and windy 🌬
Long day driving arrived in windy Wellington just getting ready to go exploring this pretty city.....
Found an amazing French Patisserie with the most yummy looking cakes.
Make it to the waterfront nearly got blown away!!!! Trying to find somewhere for dinner!Read more

After four and half hours of driving we have arrived at New Plymouth! About to go out and explore this coastal town.....

Waitomo Glow Worms Caves and Hobbiton

Big day today driving and being a tourist! Left New Plymouth at 730am for the Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Amazing experience going through the caves and then a boat ride to see the Glowworms.... No photos unfortunately it scares the Glowworm....
Then our trusty GPS lead as astray around windy mountains 🏔 (real good for the travel sick 🤢 passenger aka me)! Making us 2 hours behind schedule and an hour late to Hobbiton Movie Set.
Well worth the long mountain drive!!!! Many many photos taken and even a local ginger beer.
Then our trusty GPS got us semi lost but eventually we made it to Auckland about 2 hours behind schedule. Finally at our hotel having dinner.... Off to bed soon as once again we have an early flight to Sydney with a long delay until we are back in Port Macquarie tomorrow!
