On the Way to Briksdalsbreen

So I keep having too many photos so today is another 3 post day!

Today we woke up to another gorgeous day! The glacier was very blue this morning and we were the only ones camped back where we were! But it was so cold out! So we bundled up and packed warm layers in our bags for the day then off we went for todays adventure! First stop was where I had planned to camp last night (the third photo) and it too was gorgeous!! If not for the glacier we definitely would have stopped there for the night. When we got out of the car there we were both like it is so warm here!! We had to take off our layers as it was too hot with them on! It was crazy how cold the glacier kept the area we camped in! There was a sign there for a hike you could do up to a glacier, but we were both like in…how do you walk straight up the cliff?? Like it was a straight line on the map and will…we are not rock climbers!

Then on to our hike for the day with lots of stops at viewpoints along the way. It wasn’t that far, but we kept going into tunnels and out into different fjords which was fun. Then we had to drive up the valley to the start of the hike on a narrow windy road, but it wasn’t too bad and the views were amazing!Læs mere
