Novo Mesto

After we were done with our hike it was almost lunchtime, but the car was so hot from being in the sun we decided to head on to our next stop, Novo Mesto, and find a place to eat lunch there. It is a town on the water so we thought there might be a nice place to sit on the waterfront…only we got there and there were so many mosquitoes that immediately started attacking Raymond! So we headed into town proper and found a nice bench in the main square to have lunch.

Novo Mesto’s downtown was super tiny. After lunch we walked up to the church on the hill (with the alter area at an odd angle to the rest of the church!), then down through town to the second church and back to the car. It was maybe a half hour to see everything! So small, but so much traffic and people in the surrounding areas that lived there. It was a quick stop, but while we were there we started hearing all the thunder! It wasn’t there, but nearby thunderstorms!Leggi altro
