Initially our family holiday was going to be based in Italy but in the last minute we actually decided to go to Lisbon, Portugal.

I was quite excited for this trip since the last time I traveled was back in 2013 and was longing for a trip abroad. ✈✈

Months, weeks and days passed before we finally landed!! It was just a few hours flight but with all the traveling everyone was tired and we wanted to get to our accommodation ASAP.

We arrived late in the evening and so took a taxi (€18) to our place which was just 20 mins away from the airport. Since it was dark we couldn't see the surrounding areas of our accommodation ...that was to be discovered in the morning.

We dragged our suitcases to the first floor where we were staying and everyone hurriedly looked at the flat (3 bed) that was going to be our home for the next TWO WEEKS...yes two weeks, a lesson we learnt very well.
