Uskudar

Day 4: We had a lie in today as all the previous days we were up early and out. We headed to a nearby pastry shop for a bite for breakfast and then got what I can only describe as the best value shawarma ever for lunch. We then headed to Balat to look at the colourful houses and then headed to Uskudar to see the sunset. We walked along the Bosphorus and found loads of seat right on the edge near the water. We say there for a few hours with some Turkish tea and enjoyed the sunset. It was beautiful. The Istanbul skyline was truly mesmerising. It was also Iyads favourite part of the trip, he loved being out after sunset as it got quite cold. He found the sun during the day too bright and hot. We found a nice restaurant near the area we had tea and there we got Adana kebab wraps. It got really cold and the restaurant has cute red blankets to cover yourself with. It was a really just touch. The bridge over the Bosphorus lit up in the night and we head back to our hotel.Read more
