Up super early because of the time change and decided to not eat at the restaurants as we had to be in the theater no later than 7:30am for our tour. In classic Norwegian Cruise style, it was chaos.

Finally got out of the terminal after finding our luggage and trekked to the #1 bus. We took off at 9. Drove around the city. Stopped at the Disney philharmonic for a bathroom break.

Are the Hollywood Walk of fame we visited the Chinese theater and the Star Walk of Fame. After that we went to the Roosevelt Hotel. And boy did we luck out! The gentleman (named Robert) I asked if we could take pictures ended up giving us a private tour. Built in 1927, the hotel hosted the first Academy Awards (they only lasted 15 minutes) in the Blossom room. And he unlocked it so we could go in!

The mirror at the top of the stairs belonged to Marilyn Monroe. Shirley Temple learned to tap dance on the steps with Mr. Bojangles. Robert also shared that he met Angelina Jolie and was too star struck to say anything. Again it was just me and mom. I don’t think any of the others in our group even realized the history behind where we visited. Our NCL tour guide didn’t really explain things.

Next we went to the Farmers’ Market. We thought it was an actual market but it was another shopping center. We ate a margarita pizza lunch at “Chill Since ‘93”. Wandered a bit and looked at Christmas decorations.

Got to the airport at 2…will be waiting till 9:55 pm for our flight.
