    November 20, 2021 in Italy ⋅ ☀️ 48 °F

Crazy busy plane but got through customs with no problems asked to the bus heading for the Epic ship. Both sweaty and sleepy but doing ok. Too bad the weather is so awful, hahaha.

  • Antibes, France

    November 22, 2021 in France ⋅ ☁️ 57 °F

A short distance from Cannes, Antibes is a small resort town. Looks a lot like Venice to me. Sadly everything is closed on Mondays, but it was not crowded at all’

  • Barcelona, Spain

    November 23, 2021 in Spain ⋅ 🌧 57 °F

Ok, Barcelona is a beautiful city. But last time we visited, there was a huge political riot. And let’s be honest, that’s hard to top. So we took a break today and stayed on the ship. (It actually rained too…) so here are the fruits of our on board activities…origami pigeons and beaded geckos.Read more

  • Cartagena

    November 24, 2021 in Spain ⋅ ☀️ 57 °F

Took a little (literally) train tour of Cartagena. Tons of ruins from 300bc and a bustling port. Our tour was later than we thought and it got quite cold. But we got some incredible views during sunset! And during free time this morning we made beaded bracelets.Read more

  • Málaga, Spain

    November 25, 2021 in Spain ⋅ ☀️ 57 °F

Very busy Thanksgiving in Málaga! We rode the hop on and off bus around the city. We got to see the Picasso museum and tons of his original paints and sculptures. After that we went to the market and wandered for a while. Back on the boat we had a delicious Turkey dinner at the Manhattan Room.Read more

  • Cadíz, Spain

    November 26, 2021 in Spain ⋅ ☀️ 55 °F

Off to Vejer de la Frontera, one of the frontier towns outside of Cadíz, Spain. It is perched high above the steep gorge of the river Barbate and squeezed between the sierra and the sea. Declared a national monument in 1978, this charming village is what many Andalusian towns were like during five centuries of Islamic rule. We also saw white flamingos and a dog. Then our tour bus got hit. Everyone was fine though.Read more

  • At Sea

    November 28, 2021, North Atlantic Ocean ⋅ ⛅ 61 °F

First day at sea in the Atlantic. Pretty day but rough seas so I ended up staying in the room to keep from yacking on anything. But we saw 5 rainbows.

  • Rough Seas

    December 3, 2021, North Atlantic Ocean ⋅ ☀️ 43 °F

Rocking and rolling and trying to keep our food in our stomachs. Bad storm last night cancelled a lot of performances…we should be in port in New York tomorrow, a day early due to a port getting cancelled.

Everyone will be tested for Covid today. There are many people who ditched their masks as soon as we hit international waters. We got the news yesterday that our last port, Madeira, turned red with the omicron variant the day we visited…no one really knows what will happen if/when someone on the ship tests positive. There’s a strange atmosphere currently. People are yelling and being kind physical. Fingers crossed that things go smooth with disembarking…

    December 4, 2021 in the United States ⋅ ☁️ 37 °F

I believe New York is in the distance! We will have to clear customs…. Not sure how that’ll work with a ship. Mom and I both tested negative thank goodness. We passed by the Statue of Liberty around 10am.Read more
