Made it to Estonia but my luggage didn't. I guess I need to do some laundry for the little I brought in the carry on. Haven't seen too much of Estonia but will check it out later. Beautiful day! Just learned that the sun sets at 11 pm and rises at 4:00 am here. InterestingRead more

  • Estonia, old town

    June 29, 2016 in Estonia ⋅ ⛅ 17 °C

I was able to make it to the old town part of Estonia today. So many neat buildings as old as the 16 century. They had a giant square with many types of shops and restaurants. I even saw some Estonian dancers in the street. The picture of the door is at the Polish Embassy. I will be back to look at more of this city soon!Read more

  • July 4th in the US Ambassador Residence

    July 4, 2016 in Estonia ⋅ ⛅ 17 °C

Today I got to celebrate July 4th at the US Ambassador's residence. They had all the American favorites! Hamburgers, hot dogs, BBQ, subway, McDonalds, soft drinks, beer, wine, and Harley's. This was perfect because the Americans on this trip haven't had this food in over a week and it was a nice change to our rice, potatoes anf chicken menu. They also had a huge cake! The Orchestra did an awesome job performing patriotic marches and had a blast afterwards.Read more

  • Kaunas Lithuania

    July 18, 2016 in Lithuania ⋅ ⛅ 21 °C

We had a free day to explore Kaunas. What a neat city! There are too many places I visited and not enough pictures to post (I am only allowed 6). Its hard to imagine the conflicts that occurred in this area over the last 100 years. Everyone here is welcoming. Below are pictures of St. Michael Church, the old and new town streets, the town hall, a castle built in the 14th century and the military museum (they fought for freedom in 1920). Tomorrow we go to Poland.Read more

We had a 10+ hour bus trip to Poland today. I got to see a lot of the Polish countryside. Not many pictures to post today but will take some more tomorrow. The last picture is when we pulled up to our concert hall (Penderecki Music Centre). It is a great facility and has hotel rooms/dining attached to it. Time for bed....Read more

  • Lublin, Poland

    July 21, 2016 in Poland ⋅ ☀️ 22 °C

We arrived in Lublin today around 12 and had lunch at the hotel. After, I had about 2 hours to take a stroll through the city. Its the 9th largest city in Poland but one of the most historic. Since the city wasn't destroyed during the war, many of the buildings are original. I am going to see if there is time after the concert to explore. The concert hall is new and the city has advertised our presence very well.Read more

Today was a free day and I decided to drive to Motala, Sweden. This city was important because it connected the area to Stockholm through canals.
