Lago Bianco-Alp Grüm

We have done this hike with today 3 times and never get tired. After 8 days of hiking up and down this hike was just what we needed. There were gentle ups and downs and mostly straight forward along Lago Bianco. Each time we came here the scenery was obviously the same yet each hike was very different. We had ice, snow and a lot of fog. We had snow and sunshine and today it was just a lot of 🌞👌. We parked the car at the Bernina Hospiz and walked to the Alp Grüm, which was a bit longer than an hour. It was the first time we could actually sit outside in the 🌞. Inside it is very small and outside too. It is a well known place so luck was on our side to get a table. As it is with all these places they struggle to get enough staff. Therefore service was slow and a bit chaotic. But the cheese Spätzli were well worth the wait and so were the Älpler Makronen. The cheese they used was extra delicious 😋. The scenery from Alp Grüm is also extra special. You can see on a good day down to the Puschlav and Lago di Poschiavo.
