Our final day was walking through dunes, rugged coastlines, coastal Heathland with loads of colourful wild flowers, & Albany wind farm. Then, around Albany harbour to Albany & the southern terminus of the Bibbulmun Track. The tradition is to sign the book & ring the bell at the i site, but got there at 2.10pm, & it closes at 2 on Sundays 🙄. Went back there today to perform that ritual.
Enjoyed the trail - so very different to NZ - & Hilary did so well on her first long distance hiking trail, carrying all her own gear (tent, cooking system, etc).
A big thank you to the Bibbulmun Foundation, Volunteers & Trail Angels - you're amazing. The track infrastructure & facilities are first class.
Catching the bus to Perth tomorrow, staying a night with Eugene & Tracey Gow-Campbell, & flying out Wed evening - back in Golden Bay Thurday. Ciao for nowBaca lagi
