• Heading to the Supermarket

    After a few hours at the beach, I thought I should head to the supermarket so that I was prepared for the days ahead.

    To help keep costs down, I took a little walk deeper into the city to head to the big supermarket, Safeway.

    I knew the US was expensive, but holey moley the prices in this supermarket were absolutely mindblowing. I bought food for two breakfasts and two lunches (croissants, oat bars, fruit, crackers, ham, chocolate) and this set me back £28.39!!! Best of all, the prices on the supermarket shelves don't even include tax, which is added at the till.

    As it turns out, Hawaii is suffering especially from the cost of living crises since it is so isolated and is unable to produce its own food. How anyone who isn't a millionaire can afford to live here I've no idea.
