Views from Temple IV

The tallest temple in Tikal is temple IV. We were able to climb the (non-Mayan made) stairs to the top and enjoy the views over the forest and other monuments far into the distance. Our guide said that back in the Mayan times none of this forest would have been visible as the city of Tikal would have stood in its place.Read more
