Ferry to Roatan

After an 8.5 hour shuttle ride through Guatemala and Honduras we made it to La Ceiba ferry terminal with plenty of time to spare before our ferry to Roatan!

Almost everyone else on our shuttle was going to Roatan's neighbouring island of Utila. Unfortunately for those people the ferry had been cancelled due to maintenance so they will have had to stay in La Ceiba for the night.

Despite the ferry being a large one, the crossing was very choppy, but thankfully we'd planned ahead with sea sickness tablets.

Once we'd landed on the shores of Roatan we took a taxi to our hostel, where we were treated to a fish, rice and vegetable dinner which was very nice, although it took about 3 hours to prepare and we just wanted to go to sleep by the time in was served! Czytaj więcej
