Monte Verde Cloud Forest

This morning we caught the 9:30am bus to Monte Verde cloud forest, the regions main attraction. Once we arrived we had to join a waiting list to enter. At 10:30am they read names from the waiting list to invite you up to buy a ticket. An unusual system but we got in!

We quickly realised why the forest is called a cloud forest, the pictures speak for themselves. In fact today it was so cloudy that you couldn't see a thing from any of the viewpoints.

We also struggled to spot anywildlife other than a caterpillar and a couple of birds but we did hear very loud cries between some sort of large animal, but we've no idea what! Clearly we missed our expert guide but we definitely got the proper cloud forest experience!Read more
