La Boca - Caminito

This morning we were up early (8:30am, a painful alarm) as we had booked onto the walking tour in the colourful suburb of La Boca.

We joined the tour to find our guide was the same guy as the other day, Nahuel aka Jenny.

The suburb of La Boca was and is home to thousands of Italian, Spanish and other European immigrants who settled in Boca when the country opened its doors to the masses many years ago.

The main street is called Caminito, a former railway line which has a statue of Messi lifting the World Cup at the balcony of the corner cafe.Read more
