Leaving Asuncion

This morning we boarded the 7:30am service from Asuncion to Ciudad del Este (literally meaning city of the east) on the border with Brazil!

We can't avoid the Paraguay national team at the moment as the bus livery was of the football association so we can only assume it is used by the team.

Once we were on the bus we discovered that not only does it stop at Ciudad del Este, but it actually goes further and crosses the border to Foz do Iguacu in Brazil. The driver said that we could stay on the bus all the way to Brazil in exchange for "tips". A reasonable request, but we're claiming we bribed a bus driver to take us into Brazil.Leggi altro
