The Rotunda

The Rotunda sits in the very centre of the Capitol separating the Senate in the north and the House in the South. It's also where the lying in state takes place for former Presidents and significant others.

The walls are lined with paintings some of the US' most famous moments and statues of former Presidents. It's a law in the US that a person cannot have a statue in the Capitol if they are still alive so all of the Presidents here are ones no longer with us.Baca lagi
