Queenstown Skippers Canyon 4x4 safari

4 hour 4x4 experience today, what an adventure! We went deep into Skippers canyon, steep drops by the roadside, windy roads, bumpy roads, hairpin bends, amazing views. The pine trees have been taking over the native plants and trees, so a programme to destroy large parts of them is in place, so quite a few black burnt out trees on the journey. We stopped at Skippers town where the gold miners settled in the late 1800’s, crossed a bridge which opened in 1901 - an amazing accomplishment, panned for gold in the Shotover river & had a brilliant experience, thanks to Dan our English driver from Essex 😮😆Read more
