    There was a lovely park where we docked.Statues of the four emperors who are buried in the Speyer cathedral.The cathedral is a combination of Romanesque and Gothic architecture.The boy in the carving is holding the traditional pretzel bread of the region.  Mary tried some!Edith Stein was a Jewish convert to Catholicism who taught in Speyer before being sent to Auschwitz.This was where the fish market was in the past.A statue of a pilgrim.Rubbing the toe of the pilgrim brings good fortune.
