Iron tracks delivered us from far eastern Türkiye to its western border, without sufficient time to see everything on our wish list. A return trip required to explore Gallipoli, Ephesus, Cappadocia and the Lycian Trail.

Perhaps we shouldn’t delay our return? My governance instinct, based on the complexity of the present-day regional & internal political issues, is Türkiye’s ensign will become even redder (original flag’s scarlet signifying the Ottoman’s blood and power). Hopefully a wrong perception and the Evil Eye talisman will protect the country from negative curses.
