After thinking we would be able to board the earlier ferry from Piombino to Portoferraio, we had two wait almost 2 hours for the boat.
We killed time with some beer and crisps!

Woke up to rain and a breeze, so we decided to go out to explore the port town of Portoferraio, where we are staying.

We couldn’t find anywhere to eat, as Portoferraio was full of tourists, so we ended up eating in a random street little restaurant that turned out to be an amazing experience.
We had ravioli with fish and spaghetti with crab, and octopus with potatoes and tomato sauce. Everything home cooked and so fresh!!Baca selengkapnya

We walked a bit to get to this remote beach, surrounded by black and Green coloured rocks. The beach is divided in two parts and it’s naturally sheltered.

We obviously had to go for a run in this beautiful place.
We did 10k along the northern coast and we saw some of the beaches: Spiaggia di Capo Bianco and Spiaggia di Sottobomba.

Buzzancone e Calanova

We left Portoferraio in the morning to visit the Buzzancone beach on the far south east part of the island.
We parked our car in Calanova after a long off road drive. From there we took a path to Buzzancone beach. Once reached the little beach we didn’t like it to much and we kept walking up to Punte Nere but we could not find a path to reach the beach.
We decided to walk back and we spot a very small path that took us to a rock just in front of a beautiful rocky island covered with seagulls. We dove in the sea and eat our sandwich in possibly the most peaceful place on the island.Baca selengkapnya
