Ornery folk

All ages of parishioners take part in the parade. The youngest was chewing on a pacifier and the oldest who couldn't chew was in a wheelchair.
Even the officials range in age, and they even have female thurifers!
The point of this exercise is really an exercise in community and, especially for the carriers, in teamwork. Like the Carnivale in Rio, it takes a whole year of organisation and practice to carry through.Les mer
