Oviedo-La Miranda, bus To Gijón

Camino del Norte Bonus!

I set out to do the Oviedo-Avilés link, and it started out great. Quiet, beautiful views…and asphalt. About 8 km in my hip started hurting, so I decided to stop in Alto de Miranda and take the bus…The pain went and came back (but is fine now that I’m resting). Now I’m Gijón hoping for a loop along the beach and a mountain tomorrow with that empty pack.

Unpopular opinion but I prefer Gijón to
Oviedo. The ambiente and people are nicer, even if Oviedo has more to offer…

El plan era hacer el enlace entre Oviedo y Avilés, y el día empezó genial. Tranquilo, vistas bonitas…y asfalto. Después de unos 8 km la cadera me empezó a doler, y decidí coger el autobús desde Alto de Miranda. El dolor fue y volvió (todo bien ahora que descanso). Ahora estoy en Xixón, y espero hacer una ruta circular por la playa y monte mañana con la mochila vacía.

Opinión unpopular: prefiero Gijón a Oviedo. El ambiente es mejor y la gente es más amable, aunque Oviedo ofrece más cosas…Læs mere
