Day 65 - moving day!

Today was mostly about getting from Osaka to Kawaguchiko—a long, stressful travel day involving the bullet train, a local train and finally a bus. We made it, and we’re glad to be settled in one place for three nights!

Our reward was a beautiful clear view of Mount Fuji, with snow streaking its summit. After two months of travelling around Japan, it was lovely finally to see this famous mountain up close.

There was still enough energy for a little silliness, with Cindy peeking out between the brilliant red autumn hedges. Not much sightseeing today, but a memorable view to finish the journey.

Tomorrow we swap transport connections for hiking boots and head into the mountains.Read more
