  • City Hall

    3 mai 2023, États Unis ⋅ ⛅ 46 °F

The next place we visited on our tour was Chicago’s city hall. I loved the architecture here and it reminded me of some of the area I’ve been to in New York. I’m guessing that I wasn’t paying attention to the tour because I didn’t even know that this was city hall until after we had left. I think that I would have appreciated it more had I known.En savoir plus

Nobody really knows what this sculpture is supposed to be because Picasso never named it or offered any explanation about it when it was unveiled. In the first photo it looks like an animal, maybe a fox, but from this angle I can definitely see a face looking to the left.En savoir plus

We’re taking a shortcut through the Palmer Hotel building and, since I was paying attention this time, I learned that brownies were invented here. As the story goes, Bertha Palmer (wife of hotel owner Potter Palmer) asked the kitchen crew to whip up a portable dessert that could be served at the Columbian Exposition World's Fair.En savoir plus
