At the End of the Day

    October 4 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 57 °F

With one last look back, our adventures at New York Comic Con draw to a close. There was still another hour left until the convention closed for the day but we were just to weary to go on. Although I'm still very disappointed with how Mezco conducted the sales of their figures, I must admit that, overall, I had a very good time.Read more

    Thanos Pop

    October 4 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 59 °F

These Funko Pop figures are all over the convention. I really don't understand their appeal but, for some reason, they are incredibly popular. This giant Thanos was seen at the official Funko booth. In order to buy anything here, you have to win a lottery giving you the right to shop there. That's crazy!Read more

    Time for Lunch

    October 4 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 63 °F

The food at Comic Con was very limited and quite expensive so we ventured out to get something else. We had intended to go to the Tick Tock Diner but ended up at Finn's Bagels because we were just too tired to go any further. I got a scrambled egg with bacon and cheese on a pumpernickel bagel while Sam got a whole wheat everything bagel with egg and pastrami. He thought that the pastrami was a bit spicy which surprised me. I've never really thought of pastrami as a spicy sort of food.Read more

    Cosplay Girls

    October 4 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 63 °F

As we were getting ready to leave for lunch, we saw somneee people with really good costumes. Seeing the cosplay people is my favorite part of Comic Con. Sally, from Nightmare before Christmas looks good but the Corpse Bride looks even better. It's been a while since I've been either of these movies. I need to rewatch them.Read more

    Mysterio

    October 4 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 63 °F

Keep your eyes open and you're camera ready because you never know who you might run into at Comic Con. I was sitting down for a moment, changing lenses on my camera, when Mysterio walked by. He looks fantastic! With the big success of the Spiderman Far From Home movie I'm surprised that I didn't see a lot of people dressed up as Mysterio.Read more

    Mortal Kombat!

    October 4 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 63 °F

Mortal Kombat is my second favorite video game, right behind Street Fighter II. I always love to see people dressed up as characters from these games. As fast as cosplay goes, Mortal Kombat seems to be a much more popular choice than Street Fighter. I'm not sure why though. I think that the costumes for Mortal Kombat look a lot more complicated than the ones in Street Fighter. I guess that the costume designers love a challenge! This photo is a bit darker than what I normally post but I think the darker look goes well with this character.Read more

    Bumblebee

    October 4 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 63 °F

I've never understood the popularity of Transformers. To me, it seems like a show that was created just to sell toys. I've never seen the original cartoons but I really tried to get into the recent movies. They seemed so popular that I decided to give the Transformers another chance but, just like before, I couldn't get into it. Well, at least I gave it a chance!Read more

    Ariel

    October 4 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 63 °F

Lots of people in the cosplay community like to do cosplay mashups. This woman is a perfect example of what can be done with this idea. She's combined Ariel, the little mermaid, and Aquaman. I like the result! The cosplay community is already so talented and creative but these character combinations really take things to another level!Read more

    Under the Glass

    October 4 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 63 °F

Every time I come to the Javits Center I'm amazed by the size of it. No matter how big this place is, though, it still feels so crowded. Comic Con seems to become more crowded each year. I wonder how many tickets are allotted for each day and if they keep raising the number each year. I'm thinking that they do because it seems to be more crowded than ever.Read more
