  • The Drop Off

    2 de maio de 2023, Estados Unidos ⋅ ☁️ 48 °F

Usually I’m on my own to drop off Pixel but Kathy came with me today. It’s always nice to have extra company on the way back home. We’re only boarding Pixel this time. Truffle is going to be left home with Bryan. We think that he’s still a bit too young for boarding. Probably on our next trip…Leia mais

  • The Rain

    2 de maio de 2023, Estados Unidos ⋅ 🌧 48 °F

The rain is coming down at quite a steady rate. I’m hoping the bad weather isn’t going to delay our flight. Like it’s been said in The Crow, “It can’t rain all the time.”

  • TSA Check

    2 de maio de 2023, Estados Unidos ⋅ ☁️ 50 °F

We had already done the online check in for our flight so our first stop was the TSA checkpoint. I find this to be such a hassle and most of the workers here seem to have real attitude problems. It’s not a good experience for anyone traveling.Leia mais

  • Almost Done

    2 de maio de 2023, Estados Unidos ⋅ ☁️ 50 °F

I’ve had better TSA experiences and I’ve had worse but this one was closer to the worse side of the inspections. My backpack had to be opened up and all my figures and photography gear was taken out and examined. I don’t know what they were expecting to find but all they did was waste our time.Leia mais

  • $4.59?!

    2 de maio de 2023, Estados Unidos ⋅ ☁️ 50 °F

Kathy wanted a bottle of water to take on the plane with her so we stopped at the first food kiosk we saw to get one. I was shocked to see them charging $4.59! We can buy the entire case of water, plus the bottle deposit, for less than that outside the airport. Their prices are ridiculous!Leia mais

  • Southwest Airlines

    2 de maio de 2023, Estados Unidos ⋅ ☁️ 50 °F

We’re going to be flying to Chicago on Southwest Airlines. This is our second time using them and while they are a good airline, I just can’t get used to their bizarre boarding procedures. I don’t know why they need to do things differently from everyone else.Leia mais

  • Gate 54

    2 de maio de 2023, Estados Unidos ⋅ ☁️ 48 °F

This isn’t our gate, but I’m wandering around with Groot, and taking pictures, while waiting until it’s time to board the plane. The woman working at the next gate over was watching me and told me how cute and adorable Groot is. He loves attention!Leia mais

  • Terminal B

    2 de maio de 2023, Estados Unidos ⋅ ☁️ 48 °F

I’m walking off so I can fill up our empty water bottles. I don’t know why water, and shoes, are such sensitive items for the TSA here. It seems every area has different things that are considered extremely dangerous. When we visited China, I remember their sensitive items were batteries and umbrellas.Leia mais

  • Toad

    2 de maio de 2023, Estados Unidos ⋅ ☁️ 48 °F

Toad is all packed up and ready to leave. This is one of my newer figures, from the Super Mario franchise. With his heavy looking backpack, he naturally became one of my “traveling” figures.

  • Frustrated

    2 de maio de 2023, Estados Unidos ⋅ ☁️ 48 °F

Everyone has been lined up for a while but we’re still not moving. Apparently, there was some Indian guy in a wheelchair who was arguing with the Southwest staff that him, and his family, should be allowed to board first, even ahead of other passengers with wheelchairs. Why are there always some people who insist on breaking rules and making things like this difficult for everyone?Leia mais

  • Boarding

    2 de maio de 2023, Estados Unidos ⋅ ☁️ 48 °F

I’m glad that we got on the plane so quickly. It’s starting to get so hectic with everybody looking for seats and a place to stow their bags. I’d hate to be among the last people boarding.
