Bye, Pixel!

Like every trip we take now, it starts with dropping off Pixel at his vet’s office for boarding. This is the first time that Kathy came with me to drop Pixel off. We’re actually going to New Orleans tomorrow but we’re leaving very early in the morning. This gives us no choice other than dropping Pixel off today. We’ll miss him, but know that we’re leaving him in good hands.Read more

I’m all packed up and ready to go! This is the debut trip for my new Monos suitcase. I actually got this bag a while ago, after we went to Rome and my bag was broken into. This is a carry on bag so I can take it right on the plane with me. After my experience in Italy, no more checked bags for me! This Monos bag has great reviews so I’m expecting it to perform very well.Read more

It certainly pays to leave early! We’ve never gotten to LaGuardia Airport so quickly before. Getting up so early is tough but I’d rather do that then spend my time sitting in traffic worrying about making it to our terminal on time.Read more

We were just dropped off by our Uber and are headed into the terminal. It’s still early which explains why there’s not many people about. I’m trying to shoot a lot more videos these days. I’d like to try editing them together and make some mini movies. I think that would be a lot of fun.Read more

JetBlue had us check in for our flight yesterday so there was no need to stop by these stations. There isn’t any lines, but still, the pre check in saved us some time.

No TSA Lines

Going through the TSA security checkpoint can be the most time consuming, and frustrating, part of going on a flight but, strangely enough, there’s nobody here waiting and we were able to pass through the security area very quickly.Read more

Fountain

This courtyard fountain looks amazing! The lights make it seem that, rather than water, laser lights are falling from the ceiling. I love this look! It’s mesmerizing to watch!

Breakfast at Zaro’s

Zaro’s has a reputation as a quality bread maker so we decided that this would be a good choice for breakfast while waiting for our flight to leave. I’ve never eaten anything from Zaro’s before but a buttered sesame bagel sounds like a good breakfast choice.Read more

Our food was quite expensive when compared to what we’re able to get elsewhere but, then again, what isn’t overpriced at the airports? I don’t know how they get away with charging such high prices but as long as people keep on buying it the prices won’t come down.Read more

It would be so much easier while packing to have a go-to selection of figures. The bagels that we got from Zaro’s earlier were so disappointing. They tasted, and felt, like they were leftovers from yesterday and even though we ordered them with butter, and paid extra for it, there was hardly any butter on either bagel. It seems like all they did was slice the bagel with a knife that once had a bit of butter on it. Being so hard and dry, neither of us could eat more than half of our bagel. After this experience, I don’t think that I’d eat at Zaro’s again, either at the airport or elsewhere.Read more

So Sleepy

Getting up so early has caught up with Kathy and she’s dozed off for a bit. It’s nearly impossible for me to sleep in places like this. First of all, it’s so uncomfortable to sleep sitting up and, second, I don’t trust people enough to sleep around them. I’m afraid that if I fall asleep, all of my belongings would be stolen. I’m much more comfortable staying awake and alert.Read more

There’s an FAO Schwarz right near our gate. I love that the airport decided to include this wonderful toy store in with their shops. I went inside this shop but didn’t see anything that I wanted. The majority of what they sold was candy and it’s too early in the morning for that.Read more
