  • World of Warcraft

    October 4, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 63 °F

I used to really enjoy the Warcraft game from Blizzard software until it became an online game. Once I tried it online, I noticed that a lot of people used cheats in the game to help them easily beat every one else. One of the people who did this was a friend of mine named Ron. Playing Warcraft with him wasn't fun after that. We've since grown apart over the years but his Warcraft shenanigans didn't have anything to do with it. Lots of other stuff. Things that shouldn't have mattered but they did. Long story...Read more

  • Mortal Kombat!

    October 4, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 63 °F

Mortal Kombat is my second favorite video game, right behind Street Fighter II. I always love to see people dressed up as characters from these games. As fast as cosplay goes, Mortal Kombat seems to be a much more popular choice than Street Fighter. I'm not sure why though. I think that the costumes for Mortal Kombat look a lot more complicated than the ones in Street Fighter. I guess that the costume designers love a challenge! This photo is a bit darker than what I normally post but I think the darker look goes well with this character.Read more

  • Mysterio

    October 4, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 63 °F

Keep your eyes open and you're camera ready because you never know who you might run into at Comic Con. I was sitting down for a moment, changing lenses on my camera, when Mysterio walked by. He looks fantastic! With the big success of the Spiderman Far From Home movie I'm surprised that I didn't see a lot of people dressed up as Mysterio.Read more

  • Sweet Tooth

    October 4, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 63 °F

This doll, named Sweet Tooth, is from Mezco. They sell a whole selection of these horror toys called Living Dead Dolls. They didn't have any more Gomez figures but they were selling these? I couldn't see buying one of these for myself, let alone as something to give a little girl. I think only Wednesday Addams could love a doll like this! I could be wrong though. There is a whole line of these creepy dolls available with more being released all the time. I guess that they have become quite popular despite my opinion of them.Read more

  • Carnage

    October 4, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 63 °F

Here's another cosplayer dressed up as Carnage. Unlike the first one I saw, this Carnage is very scary looking. Even when I saw him walking around, he didn't move like a person normally would. He really got into the character and lurched about, looking very alien and dangerous. Such a great performance portraying this vicious character!Read more

  • Make Up

    October 4, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 64 °F

This make up demonstration was so interesting to me. I'm always amazed by the transformations I see taking place. I was seriously thinking about volunteering to be made up like this, to surprise Sam, but I don't think that I'd like having to wear it all day long. How would I eat, drink, or even talk? Maybe another day..Read more

  • On the Wall

    October 4, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 63 °F

I had forgotten how much money comic books could be worth. I knew, of course, that really old and rare comics were valuable but I'm shocked at the prices of some of the comics from the time when I was a collector. I even remember having a lot of those comic books! I wonder whatever became of my collection?Read more

  • The Millennium Falcon

    October 4, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 64 °F

This is an amazingly detailed model of the Millennium Falcon, Han Ship, from Star Wars. Things like this are usually just used for displays at the conventions and, generally, aren't for sale. It's just as well because I couldn't fit something this big in my house anyway! There's nothing around to give it some scale, but this model is around the size of a dining room table.Read more

  • Cosplay Girls

    October 4, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 63 °F

As we were getting ready to leave for lunch, we saw somneee people with really good costumes. Seeing the cosplay people is my favorite part of Comic Con. Sally, from Nightmare before Christmas looks good but the Corpse Bride looks even better. It's been a while since I've been either of these movies. I need to rewatch them.Read more

  • Jango Fett

    October 4, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 63 °F

While we were walking out of the convention, I suddenly noticed that Sam wasn't with me. I figured that something must have caught his eye and, since it was so crowded, I'd never find him if I went back for him. Instead, I stayed where I was, knowing that he'd have to pass me to get out. While I was standing there waiting for him, I saw Jango Fett saunter on by. Around here, you never know who might see next!Read more

  • Time for Lunch

    October 4, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 63 °F

The food at Comic Con was very limited and quite expensive so we ventured out to get something else. We had intended to go to the Tick Tock Diner but ended up at Finn's Bagels because we were just too tired to go any further. I got a scrambled egg with bacon and cheese on a pumpernickel bagel while Sam got a whole wheat everything bagel with egg and pastrami. He thought that the pastrami was a bit spicy which surprised me. I've never really thought of pastrami as a spicy sort of food.Read more

  • Cosplay Contrasts

    October 4, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 61 °F

This cosplay mashup, of Batman and the Joker, is pure brilliance! The characters naturally go together and have a common background despite being total opposites. I did a lot of processing on this one, trying to capture the insanity of the Joker. I hope that I've succeed!Read more

  • Harley on Wheels

    October 4, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 61 °F

Some of the other cosplay mashups left me scratching my head and feeling a bit puzzled though. This photo is the perfect example but I guess if you're one of those people who ever wondered what might happen if Harley Quinn joined the roller derby, then this shot is for you.Read more

  • Storm

    October 4, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 63 °F

Storm is a member of a subspecies of humans born with superhuman abilities known as mutants. She is able to control the weather and atmosphere and is considered to be one of the most powerful mutants on the planet.Read more

  • Pennywise

    October 4, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 61 °F

Pennywise has become a very popular character for cosplay as well as toys. I suppose that's natural due to the success of the new It movies. I know that, for some reason, lots of people are afraid of clowns. I've never understood that but I think that Pennywise would scare anyone!Read more

  • That's So Raven!

    October 4, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 63 °F

Sometimes unposed and candid shots are best to capture the person playing the character, in this case Raven from the Teen Titans. Unposed shots usually have a much more natural feel to them.

  • Go, Teen Titans, Go!

    October 4, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 63 °F

Here's Raven again, joined by Beast Boy, another member of the Teen Titans. Although this shot is posed, and more representative of the characters, I prefer the unposed shot of Raven. Raven was a popular cosplay choice this year. I'm sure that the TV show Titans had a lot to do with that. I've really been enjoying that program.Read more

  • Spider Gwen

    October 4, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 61 °F

Spider Gwen seems to be a very popular character for women to dress up as. I even lost count of how many people I saw wearing her costume. Gwen Stacy has become a very popular character in the Spider-Verse and even has her own comic book. I've never read it yet but I'd like to give it a try.Read more

  • Anubis

    October 4, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 63 °F

This is a good cosplay of the Egyptian God Anubis. Anubis was the god of embalming and the dead. Since jackals were often seen in cemeteries, the ancient Egyptians believed that Anubis watched over the dead. Even though this is a very well made and creative costume, there's something very creepy and unsettling about it.Read more

  • Poison Ivy

    October 4, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 61 °F

It's really nice when people take a classic character and give it a unique twist. This Autumn Poison Ivy is such a great idea. Not only does she look great dressed up as Poison Ivy, incorporating the Fall theme makes the character more memorable and creative. I like this!Read more

  • Venom

    October 4, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 61 °F

I really liked this woman's take on Venom. Not only is it a great costume but she knows how to pose very well. I don't know who this is but I would imagine that she probably has a presence on Twitter or Instagram. She looks like she could even be a professional model!Read more

  • Harley Quinn

    October 4, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 61 °F

After taking this picture I almost deleted it, thinking that it was took dark and had too much backlighting. I'm glad that I didn't because after looking at it on the computer it really started to grow on me.
The lesson you can take away from this photo is to never just delete photos immediately. They often look very different when seen on a larger screen. Wait a while. You may find something good in that picture that you were ready to delete earlier. Once it's erased, it's gone forever.

  • Wonder Woman

    October 4, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 61 °F

It's nice to see that people are doing cosplay characters without caring about race, age, body shape, or sex. I think it's great that people feel confident enough with themselves to dress up as whoever they want. This Wonder Woman looks fantastic!Read more

  • She Hulk

    October 4, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 61 °F

This woman looks amazing as the She Hulk! I love it how people dress up just like the way I always imagined the character to look. In this case, the She Hulk looks like she stepped right out of the comics!Read more

  • Mera

    October 4, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 59 °F

Mera is Aquaman's wife, the Queen of Atlantis, and one of the most powerful beings in the DC Universe. She is one of the many reasons Aquaman is amazing. It's great to see that cosplay is not limited to the younger crowd. Anyone who wants to participate should do it!Read more
