The statuary here is beautiful and there is so much of it. Something that disturbs me a bit, that I see in all Catholic churches, is that most of the statuary looks very cruel and condemning. It's as if you have been judged and found to be wanting. As you walk through the cathedral, looking at the different statues, it can make you feel very small and unworthy. I'm sure that was the intention of the designers of the cathedral but I don't understand why they would want to instill such feelings in their followers.Læs mere
