  • What a View!

    8 de noviembre de 2017, Francia ⋅ ⛅ 43 °F

I'd say that the castle has been the best thing that we've seen here in Disneyland Paris so far. I think the reason it was so special is that it was very different and unique when compared to any of the other parks castles. In other places it's just a building but here it's actually an attraction. It's been great spending time here but it's time to move on and see what else there is to see.Leer más

  • Bathroom Break

    8 de noviembre de 2017, Francia ⋅ ⛅ 43 °F

We've seen everything in Fantasyland so we decided to go back to Adventureland and see if the Pirates of the Caribbean ride is running. On the way we stopped off at Toad Hall, where we ate lunch, to use the bathrooms. I really like the attention to detail that goes into these signs. At Disneyland, even using the bathroom is special!Leer más

  • Bye, Genie!

    8 de noviembre de 2017, Francia ⋅ ⛅ 43 °F

This was painted on the wall at the end of the Aladdin display. After seeing such beautiful and detailed dioramas, this painting seems almost anticlimactic. If anything, I would have used this area to perhaps have a greeting area with the Aladdin characters. Seeing them would be a great surprise at the end of this attraction!Leer más

  • Pirate Ship

    8 de noviembre de 2017, Francia ⋅ ⛅ 43 °F

I really love this big pirate ship. I don't think that any of the other Disney Parks have anything like this now. I remember that, many years ago, there was a pirate ship and a skull rock in California's Disneyland. It was in Fantasyland but there wasn't any way to get close to it. It was, for all intents and purposes, just a piece of scenery.Leer más

  • It's Open!

    8 de noviembre de 2017, Francia ⋅ ⛅ 43 °F

The Pirates of the Caribbean ride is up and running again! Not only that, the lines are moving very quickly. So quickly, in fact, that I wasn't able to get any photos of the queue. I guess that the ride just reopened and most people don't know about it yet.Leer más

  • Pirates of the Caribbean

    8 de noviembre de 2017, Francia ⋅ ⛅ 43 °F

The Pirates of the Caribbean attraction was great, as always, but I don't think that it quite measured up to the one at Walt Disney World. It's almost exactly the same ride, with the same scenes, but the attraction in Florida tells a story as each display progresses. The ride in Paris has the same scenes but it's all out of order so there's no flow to the story or even context to what we are seeing. For example, in Florida, this is nearly the last scene and all the others lead up to the pirates arriving in, and looting, the city. In Paris, this is the first scene guests are presented with. There is no explanation as to what's going on, or why. The next scene shows the pirates in the caves, not in the city, and right after that they are back in the city but it's not burning. I guess that this attraction is just a collection of scenes and not a story but they are put together in a confusing sequence. While I did enjoy this ride, it didn't seem to live up to my expectations.Leer más

  • Captain Barbosa

    8 de noviembre de 2017, Francia ⋅ ⛅ 43 °F

Although most of the scenes from this attraction can be seen in other Disney Parks version of this ride, there were a couple of new scenes that are unique to this attraction. This look at Captain Barbosa, a character from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, is a perfect example.Leer más

  • Toad Hall, Again

    8 de noviembre de 2017, Francia ⋅ ⛅ 43 °F

While we were back at Toad Hall, I was seriously tempted to go in and get myself another order of the very tasty fish and chips. I resisted though. The portions are huge and I didn't really feel hungry enough to finish it. Maybe we can come back here for dinner. I certainly wouldn't mind having fish again.Leer más

  • Meet Mickey Mouse

    8 de noviembre de 2017, Francia ⋅ ⛅ 43 °F

Right across from Toad Hall was a place to meet Mickey Mouse. We haven't met any characters today and, as much as I enjoy meeting them a I don't think it would be as fun if we can't communicate with them. I still remember seeing Alice and the Mad Hatter only understanding French. If we can't talk with any of the characters, what's really the point? I'll wait until we go to the Disney Parks in America to meet some of the Disney characters.Leer más

  • Making Popcorn

    8 de noviembre de 2017, Francia ⋅ ⛅ 43 °F

We passed a popcorn cart on our way through Fantasyland and I noticed that the popcorn carts here have the little characters turning a wheel, just like the ones in the States. This little touch is something that I love seeing. I'm going to keep my eyes open to, hopefully, find more of these.Leer más
