Paris, France

The Pirates of the Caribbean attraction was great, as always, but I don't think that it quite measured up to the one at Walt Disney World. It's almost exactly the same ride, with the same scenes, but the attraction in Florida tells a story as each display progresses. The ride in Paris has the same scenes but it's all out of order so there's no flow to the story or even context to what we are seeing. For example, in Florida, this is nearly the last scene and all the others lead up to the pirates arriving in, and looting, the city. In Paris, this is the first scene guests are presented with. There is no explanation as to what's going on, or why. The next scene shows the pirates in the caves, not in the city, and right after that they are back in the city but it's not burning. I guess that this attraction is just a collection of scenes and not a story but they are put together in a confusing sequence. While I did enjoy this ride, it didn't seem to live up to my expectations.Leggi altro
