  • Toad Hall

    8 November 2017, Perancis ⋅ ⛅ 46 °F

Since the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction was closed at the moment, we went on to Fantasyland and decided to have lunch at Toad Hall. I love anything that has Mr Toad in it!

  • Time for Lunch

    8 November 2017, Perancis ⋅ ⛅ 46 °F

Toad Hall turned out to be what Disney calls a "counter service" restaurant. I was hoping for a more fancy sort of place, since this was our first time here at Disneyland Paris, but we were too hungry to even care. This photo looks like it have been taken in any of the Disney parks. All of their counter service restaurants are pretty much the same.Baca lagi

  • A Christmas Scene

    8 November 2017, Perancis ⋅ ⛅ 45 °F

When we came out of Mr. Toad's restaurant, we saw this Christmas display. This is the biggest display we've seen for Christmas here so far. Until now, we've been seeing mostly Halloween decorations. I'm happy to see things being set up for Christmas but I still find it very strange to see Halloween and Christmas decorations up at the same time.Baca lagi

  • The Mad Hatter

    8 November 2017, Perancis ⋅ ⛅ 45 °F

As we came out of Toad Hall we saw the Mad Hatter and Alice greeting guests. These were the first characters that we've seen all day. I would have liked to see them but there was a long line of kids already waiting. I probably wouldn't be able to talk to them anyway. I'm sure that they only speak French.Baca lagi

  • Alice

    8 November 2017, Perancis ⋅ ⛅ 45 °F

Alice looked a bit too old to be playing the part of a young girl. With the face characters, I always like them to look as close to the real character as possible. The Mad Hatter looked great but Alice was a bit disappointing. The characters here seem much more reserved than they do at Walt Disney World in Florida. Over there, they ham it up a lot and really seem to get into the characters. It's a lot of fun for the guests as well as the castmembers. Here, from what I see, they seem to just be going through the motions. A lot of the enthusiasm seems to be missing.Baca lagi

  • The Accordion Owl

    8 November 2017, Perancis ⋅ ⛅ 45 °F

The Accordion Owl is one of the curious inhabitants of Tulgey Wood that Alice meets in the 1951 film. The accordion owl makes only a brief appearance in the film. He is seen sleeping inside a tree-hole and is awakened by the chirping of the birds that were trapped inside of the Cage Bird that Alice encountered.Baca lagi

  • The Dodo

    8 November 2017, Perancis ⋅ ⛅ 45 °F

The Dodo is a character appearing in Chapters 2 and 3 of the book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll (Charles Lutwidge Dodgson). The Dodo is a caricature of the author. A popular but unsubstantiated belief is that Dodgson chose the particular animal to represent himself because of his stammer, and thus would accidentally introduce himself as "Do-do-dodgson".Baca lagi

  • Lost

    8 November 2017, Perancis ⋅ ⛅ 45 °F

It was around here that I noticed that I was all alone. I guess that I was so busy taking pictures that we got separated in the maze. I didn't know if she was some place behind me or ahead of me but it's okay. I'm sure that we'll find each other at the exit.Baca lagi

  • The Hatter

    8 November 2017, Perancis ⋅ ⛅ 45 °F

By the mad tea party setting there was a big Mad Hatter hat for photo ops. This was a very hard, and heavy, plastic hat that was perminitely mounted. To pose for a photo, you had to get under the hat and then rise up under it so that it looked like you are wearing it. As I was getting under the hat, I banged my head on the inside. It hurt a lot and I was even dizzy for a little bit. The photo was worth it though, I suppose.Baca lagi

  • The Mad Tea Party

    8 November 2017, Perancis ⋅ ⛅ 45 °F

As soon as we came away from Alice's Curious Labyrinth we were right across from the Mad Tea Party attraction. I'm surprised that Alice in Wonderland is so popular here in France. The story is, after all, British and not French. I'd like to get a closer look at this attraction. It looks so nice!Baca lagi

  • The World is Small

    8 November 2017, Perancis ⋅ ⛅ 45 °F

It's time for a bathroom break, and after asking one of the castmembers where it was, he said that restrooms were near "the world is small". I knew that he meant the It's a Small World attraction but it's always interesting to see, and hear, how the rest of the world interprets American things and ideas.Baca lagi
