As the sun goes down so does the temperature. Not only is it cold it’s getting very windy. Kathy has been inside for a while now. She always seems to be much more sensitive to cold than I am. I’m Czytaj więcej

We’ve seen all there is to see from the top of the Eiffel Tower and we’re ready to start going down again. I’m surprised by how quickly the elevator moves! Maybe all elevators move at this rate Czytaj więcej
Lower Level Views

Even from the lower level, the view of Paris is so beautiful! We’re having such a wonderful time in France and we’re so happy that we finally made it here!

The views from the lower level are just as magnificent as what we saw on the upper level but there’s just something so special about being at the top of the Eiffel Tower!

Even a super wide angle panoramic view like this doesn’t seem to be enough to really capture what we saw from the Eiffel Tower. It’s so wonderful being able to visit places like this!
Time to Leave

By now, we’ve seen everything, more than once, and it’s time for us to start leaving. As much as I’d love to stay, it’s time to eat and we’re getting so hungry!
Back on the Ground

We’ve made back on to the street but we’re just sitting here for a bit and enjoying the view. A lot of people seem to think that the Eiffel Tower is overrated but we loved it!
Better at Night

While we were amazed by the views of the Eiffel Tower during the day, at night it becomes even more impressive! How can anyone possibly find this site to be overrated? I just can’t understand that.
Still Crowded

Once again, I’m so happy that we planned ahead and ordered our tickets online. The lines for the Eiffel Tower are still so long! I’m sure that this must be the most popular attraction in Paris!
Light Show

The lights have just begun flashing on the Eiffel Tower. It looks even better now than it did before! So glad that we decided to wait here for a bit to see this.

With a last look back, we’re ready to leave the Eiffel Tower. I’m so happy that I’m able to cross another destination off of my bucket list. I’ve been wanting to come here for so many years..

We’re back in the Metro and ready to go get dinner! Both of us are very hungry and looking forward to a great meal. I hope that the train comes soon!

The train came very quickly but, when we got out and onto the street, we saw that we were in a very dark and sketchy looking area. We didn’t want to stay so we quickly went back into the train Czytaj więcej

We decided to go to another restaurant since we didn’t feel safe in that first area we visited. Fortunately, the train came quickly and whisked us off to a more friendly seeming neighborhood.
Hungry For Duck

We finally made it to a restaurant. Kathy has been wanting to try eating duck very much while we’re in France and, since that other restaurant didn’t work out, we decided to have it tonight.

Le Comptoir de La Gastronomie is a very popular restaurant in Paris and has so many great reviews. We didn’t have any reservations but, fortunately, we were still able to get a table. This will be Czytaj więcej
Outdoor Dining

There were no tables inside so we were given a table outside. There were portable heaters outside so, despite being outside, we felt very comfortable and warm. We’ve been wanting to try outdoor Czytaj więcej

We felt warm at our table, thanks to the portable heaters near our table but not so warm that we could take our coats off. Eating outside is something new to us. I think that we’re going to enjoy Czytaj więcej

Seated at the table beside us was a group of American tourists who came from Long Island, so close to where we live! We spoke with them for a bit but, honestly, I wasn’t very interested in getting Czytaj więcej

Kathy’s duck looks amazing! I don’t care very much for duck but, yet, this looks so tasty and appetizing to me. I think that she’s really going to enjoy this!

Kathy was so impressed with her meal that she wanted to get a photo of it. So far, we’re so impressed with this restaurant. I’m hoping that we have a chance to come back again one day.
