The second stop was Sitka. Again, it was raining. Much harder at times. We hiked out a trail in hopes of spotting a bear eating salmon, but no luck. We did see salmon, and we learned what a muskeg is.
After the hike, we walked to the raptor center and got a little education on eagles and other birds in the area.
We lucked out and caught a taxi back to town where we got to see hundreds of salmon trying to swim up a gated off river. Its where their eggs are harvested for conservation purposes.Leia mais
