Well here we are, Dover and in the line for the ferry.. The crossing was super smooth and we were soon on our way to our first stop. Bruges in Belgium in plenty of time for dinner in the Market Place.

Keeping Fit

It’s important to stay fit and hydrated in this hot weather while on holiday so we have found a Golf Course just up the road from where we are staying where we can play a full eighteen holes.

Breakdown Day

The plan today was a trip to the Black Forest town of Gengenbach. Unfortunately our plans where altered when the old Jags brakes failed at the bottom of the mountain and we rolled to a stop in the pretty little town of Oppenau. Every cloud has a silver lining as they say and we were soon settled in a street cafe drinking coffee and watching the world go by as we waited for the breakdown truck.Read more

After watching Brian and Julie climb into the breakdown truck with the Jag safely strapped on the back Glynis and I started making our way back to the hotel after buying bread and apple strudel cake.

Stayed here in the Ciasa Alpina Relax Hotel for a couple of nights while visiting Chloe and Loris.
Great Alpine style buildings and views down onto Moena itself. 🏨

Did not know it but the Hotel Emfingerhof is less than ten minutes away from the car hire centre.
It’s almost time to head our separate ways as Brian and Julie get ready for a flight home and Glynis and myself wonder how we are going to get all the extra luggage in the car.
