Well what can I say? Looking for another one night free stop on the way north and found Castelo Mendo on the Campercontact app.
Step through the arch into a time long gone where two storey houses used to have the cattle living below their human companions but a quick internet search reveals much more! The narrow streets not built for modern traffic but easy to defend from Spanish troops intent on war. Some of the old walls still exist and the remains of these and the building at the top (I think it was a Chapel) are worth investigating.careful when night falls as the old village must be teaming with ghosts.Meer informatie
