Then a walk to the station, through a tunnel and up a lot of steps. We (I made friends with a Dutch couple who had been trying to get to Spain for three days) were a bit concerned that we wouldn't get out after all and might have to rely on a taxi to Portbou. But thankfully along came a Spanish train to take us on the four-minute journey to Portbou. And then a regional train to Barcelona.
