Punta Cana Last Day Domrep

We have arrived at the last night in Punta Cana... and the Dominican Republic. Unfortunately I spent the majority of the day in bed with a lovely migraine. We did manage a dip into the ocean before we were pushed back ashore by rain.

To sum up the Domrep:

It's a country with a lot of facettes but even more plastic. Jungle, towns, brown rivers, beaches, more little islands. Travelling through it by car/bus/boat was enlightening on one hand and exhausting on the other. We saw a lot of both poor and rich, and there's a big gap between the two. We saw the island as much as "residents" as well as typical tourists.

Not to mention that the mosquitos were absolute terrible travelling companions. I hope they'll stay here. Not sure if the 40 degrees in Guatemala will be less nerve-wracking however....
