    So we are meant to be going to Kangaroo Island.....the ferry is unbelievably expensive and now the bastards have cancelled it! Warming up in a dive.......

    Well......so the ferry we were booked on to Kangaroo Island was cancelled.....actually half the crossings were cancelled not great for what is reputed to be among the most expensive mile for mile sea crossings in the world.....we were squeezed on as standby on a later ferry and arrived about 10.30 pm.......an hours drive to where we were staying with 'trouble free easy self check in' to find someone already in our room!....Booking.com's useless contact the property resulted in an answering machine but after 4 calls to different numbers we roused an owner who had to endure my rant......we got an upgrade to a house......now 🌧Read more

    So this is the Carrick.....venue of many happy lunches with Douglas Glenn back in the day on the Clyde.....then towed to Irvine so that the maritime museum could staple bin bags all over it and use it as a job creation scheme and then threaten to burn it.
