We're travelling from Taunton to Istanbul by train with our children. We will be going through 7 countries and stopping off in those countries. We will be getting to sleeper trains which the children are very excited about. Read more

    London to Brussels

    What a wonderful first day so far. We've had a great trip to London where the train got very dirty. Then we had our favourite lebanese food. The children got to play in water fountains during our wait for the Eurostar. Lost my hat during the search but never mind we're still having a great time. 😁Read more

    It was a late one getting into Brussels last night. Really quick journey on the Eurostar though. The cheeky monkeys even managed to blag some free milk and sweets. Would defo recommend 👌

    Brussels To Luxembourg

    From Brussels we travelled by train to Luxembourg before our destination in Frankfurt,Germany. We spent 2 hours in Luxembourg as it is such a small country but very fascinating 👏 We can't wait to go to Germany for 2 nights. And we are very excited for the rest of our journey 😀Read more

    Wow. Only one word for Luxembourg... Lush. Would thoroughly recommend 👌 its beautiful and clean. We walked on a glass bridge with amazing views. The children played in fountains and we went on a double decker train where they got to sit in the drivers seat. Brilliant 👏Read more

    Frankfurt

    We've spent the day site seeing in Frankfurt. Went around the old part of town only to discover it was built after the second world war! Was still lovely though. Had the obligatory frankfurtter in the square which was delicious and took a tram round the city. Time for a rest. The children are playing in the play area at the hotel. The view from the hotel is directly into the train station which Harrison is loving. Apparently we're all going to play ping pong later🥴Read more

    Now that was a long train journey🥴 Managed to get most of the way only for the train to break and have to swap to another one. There was some serious Uno playing taking place. We're all far too competitive. Anyway the train journey was incredibly beautiful and we had fun. We're now in Vienna looking forward to exploring tomorrow 😀Read more

    Fantastic city. So pretty 😍 loved the architecture and food. Found a fantastic park yesterday that the children ran around until it was dark. The Palace and Cathedral were really something. Goodbye Vienna onto Bratislava now by boat 🚢 hope the children don't get sea sick 🤢😁Read more

    Only took 1hr 15mins to get from Vienna to Bratislava. The trip was so much fun. The children were very excited and got very windswept and a bit wet😁 the scenery was breathtaking. I tried to get some pictures of the little fishing lodges but didn't do too well. 🙃Read more

    Fantastic city. Would defo recommend a visit. We have loved walking around the old part of the city. Been serenaded by an opera singer watched a live band eaten the national dish of the country (basically mac & cheese) it was delicious though and massive portions we couldn't finish it. 😋 children ended up playing in a spray water thingy to cool yourself down.     While running around in fountains the children found a massive art instillation made out of clingfilm that you can go in for free. It's was unbelievable. They loved it. 😍

    Here we are in Budapest. Haven't had much of a look around but it looks good. Lots of Thai massage shops😉🕶enjoyed the chimney cakes on offer with ice cream and had a fab apartment in the middle of the city which was great for people watching. On to Romania!Read more

    From Budapest, we traveled by train a long trip that took over 5 hours to get to our destination in Romania. We knew we could do it though as we have done over 6 hours before. We even had our passports stamped by police twice!! They had guns and all sorts of things!! The train was alright but wasn't the best we've had before. Now we are off to Bucharest from Romania. On a night train which the children are very excited about. Off we go!!!!Read more

    Sleeper train to Bucharest

    What an experience. The train was old but the sheets were clean. We went rattling along at a spanking pace. The children slept like the dead😄 slight hitch getting the next train so we're off to Bulgaria. Hopefully we'll make it to Istanbul. We'll know this afternoon if we can or not🤞Read more

    What an experience 2 night trains in a row was. After believing we would have to sleep in chairs we managed to get a sleeper train in Bulgaria where we jumped off the train ran to the ticket office booked it and jumped back on the same train all with luggage in tow🫠 the children though it was brilliant, mummy was sweating bullets and daddy route marched us along 😀 the sleeper train was brilliant though. If your eating sun flower 🌻 seeds or oil I'd say it came from Bulgaria. Its all we saw really!Read more

    This was fabulous the children loved the night train we all slept really well too. We had to wake up for customs at midnight to have the passports stamped on the way out of Bulgaria and then we were woken at 1 am to go through Turkish customs. We had to wake the children up but again they thought this was great. What I've learnt is my children look at everything like am adventure which is great. 😃Read more

    Istanbul and Relax... for a few days!!

    We've spent the past 2 days mainly in the pool. It's been relaxing 😌 the children have made some friends so we have been relaxing🤣 we've eaten some amazing food and been out to see some sights so far. We've booked our train tickets home and we ate at the Orient Express Restaurant last night where people would have originally come in after they made the trip. Beautiful 😍Read more

    We're on our way home by train. Should take about 4 days. 2 sleeper trains from tonight 😴 might not have WiFi for a bit. We've had a great time in Istanbul. Been all over the place. The Blue Mosque, on a gondola, even took a boat to Asia for a whole 15 mins😅Read more

    Prague such a beautiful country

    After only booking the hotel an hour before we checked in at 23.30 we all just crashed. What an epic journey from Istanbul. So much travelling I still feel like I'm moving. We,ve got 2 nights in Prague and I'm so glad because it's full of history and so beautiful. We went to the top of the Charles Bridge and it was incredible.Read more

    I'm currently in bed but still feel like I'm moving🫠 we set off from Turkey on Tuesday and we're now in Prague. 2 night trains down. We arrived at midnight last night 🌙 🙌 the children liked walking the streets in the dark to get to our hotel😀 they're easily pleased😅. The trains have been interesting... always delayed which they weren't on the way down and for the most part clean. I am worried about my children's IQ though they seem to think nothing of touching everything and then licking their hands🤮 on the plus side their immune systems must be amazing 👏 spending the day in Prague today.Read more

    Cologne. It was a quick stop Harrison managed to get sprite all over Adelaide and she was then swarmed by wasps 😡 Luckily she didn't get stung 🤨and then we managed to get into the toilets for free to clean her up and change her clothes. We then walked to the Cathedral over a bridge with so many padlocks attached it's amazing its still standing🤣. Comic con was in town so we saw some great costumes.     Brussels Again

    Back to Brussels. Unfortunately we had to change our plans of going to Paris because of the train strike in the UK🤦‍♀️ All this way not a single problem on the trains to be foiled by this🤯 anyway it gave us a chance to have some Belgium waffles which we couldn't find anywhere our first time round. The children loved them 😍 We stayed at the airport and it had a great children's area that they played in for ages and made its own honey.🍯Read more
