    Go West

    We left the ancient south east and headed west, we are headed for Galway, something that the kids find amusing, considering their surnames. The drive west was eventful, google maps has decided the way west will be arrived at by back roads, and tracks. The matter is further complicated by a road closure due to an accident that forces us further into country lanes. Tractors and cows are now our only friends, and we seem to have found a road that see's so little traffic that grass grows high along the centre of the wheel ruts. We continue west, our faith in satellites and humour.

    We arrive in Claregalway, a place even my Irish cousins have never heard of, but our hotel stands and we find an Australian has already discovered this place, the barmaid is an Aussie from Melbourne, pioneers we are not.

    To bed we go, for tomorrow we go across the water to Inismor
