Spiders webs, a tame Magpie goose, sitting by a camp fire and fish (barramundi) and chips at Karumba a Forest Kingfisher and a termite mound with barbed wire through the middle of it!!

We visited the Lava tubes which are190,000 years old. David Attenborough visited them and thought they should be one of the “wonders of the world”! They are the oldest and biggest in the world. 30Weiterlesen

We went fossicking for Topaz and other semi precious stones. Sadly we didn’t find anything!
It was fun to do. Pick axe and shovel in hand we had a go! Hot work, but under the trees in a dry creek bed!

We took lots of water and some food and on the second day we we went up a treacherous dirt road very cleverly manoeuvred by Gordon and helped by Wally the dog!!
