Wenderholm - Auckland

Bit of a strange one today as our initial plan to walk the Orewa coast to Silverdale was somewhat distrupted by the tides - so after 5kms round the forest it became obvious we needed to catch the bus to continue on our way. After some executive decision making, we chose to hop off down at Takapuna (skipping out the Stillwater section with it's tricky tidal crossing), and headed across to the coast for an ice-cream at the infamous beach cafe. We then made our way to Hillcrest and the home of the fantastic Ashleigh and Michael (& their puppy Dali) who I met all the way back on 90 Mile Beach and who offered up their house for us to crash in for the next couple days in the city (thank you so much Ashleigh & Michael!!)Baca selengkapnya
