    It was so muggy today that I accepted a seedy beer from Dingo 🍻
    Plus Alby was whinging in the back so I needed a drink. Staying in Mallacoota another night because it's cheap and nice 👍🏽👍🏽

    Phillip Island

    We just arrived at Phillip Island after spending 2 nights at Bear Gully, it's cold and rainy! We spent the last 2 days cooking damper on the fire, crafting and finger knitting!
    There was a koala in the tree near our van! Flies were everywhere when the rain stopped. We visited the historic Liptrap Lighthouse too, 104 yrs old.
    Hoping to see the penguins this afternoon- costs $$ to see them of course!

    Penguin Parade

    Wow!! So great! so cold! It was lovely to see the penguins in their natural habitat, so many tourists of course and they block all surrounding roads etc so you have to pay to see them- - they have to block the surrounding areas because it's all headland and there's about 35,000 penguins all over them! Cant take pics of the penguins so heres some from before and after.
    It's 10pm and we are just leaving, they didn't start walking up Beach until 8:55pm and it was low tide so it took them ages!    Okumaya devam et

    St Kilda pier

    They ferry terminal is about 10 mins up the road so we parked along the pier waiting for 2 or so hours, people watching whilst the kids reclined in bed and watched a movie. Pretty hot day, the water is brown and looks pretty gross compared to home but they've had a lot of rain recently so that could be why.
    Feeling quite anxious about boarding the ferry, there's no parking down there and we've seen a few caravans doing laps as the gates haven't opened to board yet. They have to check our van and car for fruit/veg/fish etc so it'll take a while to get up the the deck! Not sure of reception so I'll say goodbye now!! 😘😘😘😘    Okumaya devam et

    Staying in a caravan park for a few nights as the guys want to go surfing somewhere ( which is a day trip - not a 2 hr trip) and we can entertain and contain the kids easier at a caravan park. This town is so quiet and gorgeous- cottages everywhere and 'the nut' mountain in the background.Okumaya devam et

    Gravelly Beach

    Stopping here tonight. It's a free camp spot and we are right on the water - there's a skate park and kids park right next door so the kids had a good play there this afternoon ( before Alby attempted to ride his bike down a skate ramp and fell off! ). Meeting up with Dingo and Tracey again tomorrow.
    Before we left Stanley this morning we visited the old graveyard right next to the beach and 'the nut' mountain. There were graves from the mid 1800's there. Very interesting and a bit creepy!
    The first two pictures are from where we are now and the others are from today before we left Stanley. I also found out that some of the movie ' a light between two oceans' was shot there! I loved that movie!!    Okumaya devam et

    Made damper on a stick for breaky, sooo good!
    Stayed at a free camp on the 'chain of lagoons' last night and will stay again tonight. We're just opposite the track to the beach. It's a bit fresh and it's overcast but still nice! We will be house sitting with the ingrams for 11 days over Christmas on a farm near Hobart. Staying in our vans but looking after a families chickens and dog, looking forward to staying put for a while!Okumaya devam et

    It's cold.....and raining! Caravan park for the next 3 nights and I finally washed my hair after 5 days of birdy baths!
