Day 21 Bolt to Budapest

Day 21 – Bolt to Budapest – 64 miles

Today had everything. Perfect weather, almost no wind, quiet Danube villages, fishermen, smooth bike paths, rough dirt and even a little singletrack. I detoured around some dirt and ended up twice on Highway 51 — fast traffic and no fun at all — but most of the day was peaceful and beautiful. Coming into Budapest I passed a big rowing competition with the crowd roaring. Made it in early afternoon, got the Koga safely tucked into the courtyard, then walked around the Basilica and Chain Bridge and had a good meal. Touring by bike is the best. Only three days to Vienna , 3 days a head is schedule.Read more
